This project explores the question of "what are the effects of social media on life and society?" Using Ray Bradbury's dystopian science fiction novel Fahrenheit 451 as a jumping off point, I have explored questions of how forms of communication technology shape our modes of thought and interactions through multiple genres. Each genre represents a particular mode of entering or exploring the text of Bradbury's novel.

Genre 1 orients readers to the information and ideas of my inquiry, synthesizing this information.

Genres 2 and 2.2 are pieces that convey emotions or imagery.

Genre 3 conveys an interaction between more than one character.

Genre 4 visually depicts research information.

Genre 5 depicts a situation that takes into account "the other side of the issue."

Genres 6 and 6.2 demonstrate strategic use of the information collected.

Genre 7 is a lesson plan that suggests ways to connect the content of the overall inquiry to the classroom.
